Students at Coal City Early Childhood Center and Coal City Elementary School were encouraged to wear their favorite football gear to school on Thursday and those who paid $1 were allowed to wear a hat all day in support of childhood cancer research.
Students at the Intermediate School observed Yellow Day in recognition of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and they also had the opportunity to pay $1 to wear a hat.
All proceeds from hat day will be donated to childhood cancer research.
