CCES Kicks Off the School Year with Excitement and Community Spirit!

The new school year at Coal City Elementary School is off to an amazing start, and the energy in the halls is absolutely contagious! Our students are loving every moment, especially their Friday morning greeters. So far, they've been welcomed by our very own high school football players and golf team members, making Fridays something truly special. The high schoolers have even taken over our morning announcements, adding a fun and fresh twist to the start of each day!

We're also seeing fantastic participation as each classroom takes turns leading the entire school in the Pledge of Allegiance—what an incredible way to unite as a CCES family!

September is in full swing, and it's a busy one for our school! This month, we’re honored to raise awareness for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Our students are putting their heads together, strategizing for the Penny Wars, and the competition is heating up! We can’t wait to see which class comes out on top, so keep those pennies coming! Don’t forget to show your support by purchasing Childhood Cancer Awareness bracelets—every little bit helps!

We were also thrilled to welcome some very special guests this month, including grandparents and other loved ones who joined us for a heartwarming celebration of family and community. Seeing the smiles on everyone’s faces reminds us just how important these connections are.

Let’s keep the momentum going, CCES! Whether it’s supporting our Penny Wars or picking up a bracelet, there are so many ways to make a difference. Let’s show that CCES spirit and make this September one to remember! Go CCES!
