Learning at growing

Ms. Bohac’s classroom at Coal City Elementary School  is working on growing plants and to work together as a team to produce something.  The first week of school, students built a lighted greenhouse and planted the seeds (peppers and cucumbers) with teacher assistance.  “Our students make daily observations and help to water the plants to keep them growing strong.  We have recently transferred the plants into pots and placed them in the indoor greenhouse for care.  We are hoping that once we have some vegetables that we will be able to share them with the other teachers in the building,” Ms. Bohac said.
