Showing our "R.A.K" Star Moves

“It all started with a Random Act of Kindness from one of my  third grade students; soon, a trickle formed.  I hope that soon we will experience a tsunami of R.A.K. Star Moves,” reports Ms. Bruzzino, the physical education teacher at Coal City Elementary School.

A Random Act of Kindness can and should  occur anywhere, but P.E. can be a “hot spot” part of a student’s day, and kindness isn’t always at the forefront.

Some find a way to rise above and put kindness first.

Meet these three amazing R.A.K. Stars!  All of these students had one thing in common.  Ms. Bruzzino said hey made sure to step in and make someone’s day better.  All on their own.  Not prompted by her.

One made sure the girl on the other team was ok after hitting her in the face with a dodgeball by walking over to the other side and talking with her.

Another gave up her scooter to a girl who was upset that she didn’t get the one she wanted.

Yet another girl noticed an upset boy who was told he couldn’t be partners with another group and went over to include him by partnering up with him.

In a world where they can be anything, they chose to be kind.
