Penny Wars

 

During the month of September, Coal City Elementary School went gold as students and staff did their part to support Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. A variety of activities were held to support childhood cancer research including a Penny Wars competition. The students raised a total of $2,110. The top fundraisers were the third grade students in Mrs. Bormet’s class— 11,508 points and Mrs. Skubic’s class finished second with 5,372 points. Rounding out the top three was Ms. Hanley’s third graders with 4,240 points.

All funds collected will go to support Megan’s Mission Foundation.
